Empress Theodora of the Byzantine Empire, never should have been an Empress. A woman of less than fortunate origins, she first lived and made a living as an infame, hetaerae and mime. THEODORA navigates the condemning nature of a monarchical society that unearths turmoil and tests the tenderness between sisters. With the beginning of a great love that is forbidden by law, the city of Ancient Rome unfolds and political and societal disruption begins to stir.
