A collaboration between emerging composers and performers, presenting a two-part series that brings a fresh take to the string quartet.

Otherworldly Threads premiers string quartet pieces written by two first-year MCM Composition students. The series offers a show that is modern, dynamic and intimate, holding a magnifying glass up to the elements in our life that stitch us together. This anthology presents a broad variety of styles and influences, revealing the diverse background of the incoming composers. With four Performance students at the heart of the concert, Otherworldly Threads will serve as the composers' debut at the University of Melbourne, introducing you to the sounds to come!
