The hunt for a shadow, love for another

“Between the Trees” is a play inspired by Indonesian puppet theatre. It is a historical fiction set in Dutch Colonial Indonesia. Centering around Cahya and their encounters with the Orang Pendek. This piece explores the effects of colonialism and the struggles of queer identity within Indonesia.
